Women's tennis advances to semifinals with 5-1 win

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland posted two doubles wins and Jessica Hernandez, Ksenija Dmitrovic and Stefanie Navaratnam collected singles victories, as the 21st-ranked Phoenix defeated No. 25 Campbellsville University, 5-1, in the quarterfinals of the Mid-South Conference Women’s Tennis Championships on Thursday in Bowling Green, Ky.

Lindsey Wilson takes two from CU softball

LEBANON, Tenn. – Annabelle Ramirez tossed a five-hit shutout and Cassie Matlock homered and doubled twice in the second game while Makea-Al Kaluau homered and drove in four runs in the opener in sixth-ranked Lindsey Wilson’s doubleheader sweep, 9-2 and 7-0, over Cumberland in softball action here Wednesday at Billy Dee Ross Stadium.

Bryan's big innings down Phoenix, 16-10

LEBANON, Tenn. – Jared Schmidt, Jose Vera and Pablo Custodio all homered and Vera collected three hits, but 23rd-ranked Bryan College scored 11 runs in the first two innings, Gabe Howell was 4-for-6 with four RBIs and three runs scored and the Lions posted a 16-10 victory over Cumberland in baseball action Wednesday at Ernest L. Stockton Field-Woody Hunt Stadium.
