Cumberland naming basketball court for former coach Cliff Ellis

LEBANON, Tenn. – The playing surface in the Dallas Floyd Phoenix Arena will be named in honor of former Cumberland and long-time Division I men’s basketball coach Cliff Ellis on August 17 in a ceremony on campus, as announced this week by Cumberland University Director of Athletics Ron Pavan.

Men's tennis trio ranked in final Oracle/ITA poll

LEBANON, Tenn. – Freshman Pau Grabuleda Cruañas and junior Ramon Puertolas were both ranked in the Top 15 nationally in singles in the Oracle/ITA NAIA Men's Collegiate Tennis Rankings while Grabuleda Cruañas and Francisco Fernandez Meaca ended the year 17th in doubles, as released late last month by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Cumberland finishes fourth in MSC President's Cup standings

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University finished fourth among eight schools in the Mid-South Conference President’s Cup standings, conference officials announced recently, the highest finish for the Phoenix since a second-place showing in 2012-13.
