Miscues end season for CU softball

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Georgetown College scored a pair of unearned runs in the fifth to take the lead and Hannah Morton settled down after a rough first inning to get the victory in the circle, helping the Tigers to a 5-3 win over Cumberland University in an elimination game of the Mid-South Conference Softball Championships here Friday afternoon at Michael O. Buchanon Park.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Campbellsville University plated five runs in the sixth and Rachel Denkins tossed six innings allowing just one run on one hit while striking out three batters as Cumberland responded with two runs in the seventh but it wasn’t enough, dropping a 5-2 decision in the opening game of the Mid-South Conference Championships on Friday.
