LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland opens the 2011 volleyball season this weekend, hosting the Volleydawg Classic at the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center on Friday and Saturday. The Bulldogs will play four matches, taking on Faulkner University, Reinhardt University and the University of Pikeville.

Martinez becomes first Bulldog in major leagues

LEBANON, Tenn. – Former Cumberland University catcher Luis Martinez became the first Bulldog player ever to reach the major leagues when he called up late Thursday night by the San Diego Padres.
