CU inks contract with Stretch Internet for web streaming

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University has signed a contract with Stretch Internet for streaming of live video, stats and audio (when available) for Bulldog home events in 2012-13 beginning with the August 28 men’s soccer match against Tennessee Wesleyan.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland announced its 2012 Gameday events for football season, which includes two pregame live music events in the tailgating area, a Kids Zone with inflatables, face painting and tattoos, and three contests in which fans are asked to wear CU colors – white, black and cardinal.

Eight clubs earn NAIA Scholar Team award

LEBANON, Tenn. – Eight Cumberland athletic teams posted team grade-point-averages of 3.00 or higher for the 2011-12 academic year, earning NAIA Scholar Team honors, as announced this week by the national office. Teams must record a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution to be eligible for the award.

The group is part of the 26th Hall of Fame Class and will be inducted during a dinner on Friday, October 5 on the CU campus.
