LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland finished fourth among the eighth institutions in the Mid-South Conference President’s Cup standings for the 2018-19 academic year, as announced recently by the league office.
LEBANON, Tenn. – One hundred and thirty current and former Cumberland student-athletes, athletic trainers and athletic staff will receive their degrees this Saturday in the 177th Commencement ceremonies on the lawn of Memorial Hall. It marks the seventh straight year of more than 100 graduates for athletic department student-athletes and personnel.
LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland women’s soccer goalkeeper Ashley Kambeitz was voted the 2018-19 recipient of the Lindsey Donnell Award this week, presented annually to a Phoenix student-athlete who excels in both academics and athletics. The award is given in honor of Lindsey Donnell, a former Phoenix football Little All-American and former professor at Cumberland University.
LEBANON, Tenn. – The Cumberland University Athletic Department is accepting nominations for the Class of 2019 Sports Hall of Fame until Monday, April 1. Nominations must be made in writing and include full justification for the nomination, including statistics, honors, awards and any other pertinent information about the nominee.
LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland Director of Athletics Ron Pavan announced the appointment of Levi Steinhauer as Interim Director of Sports Performance effective this week. Steinhauer replaces Ryan Cotton, who took a position at SMU at the end of January.
LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University released the list for Dean’s List for the Fall 2018 semester over the Christmas break, with 148 student-athletes and athletic trainers earning a 3.50 grade-point-average or better for the semester on all classes attempted.

LEBANON, Tenn. – The NAIA honored 11 Cumberland athletic squads Friday as NAIA Scholar Teams for the 2017-18 academic year. Teams must obtain a 3.00 cumulative grade-point-average or higher for all eligible varsity student-athletes during the past academic year to garner the award.
