Women's DMR earns First Team All-MSC honors

LEBANON, Tenn. – The women’s distance medley relay of Amber Mays, Faith Wilson, Abby Gawthorp and Riley Kilian earned First Team All-Mid-South Conference honors while Mays, Kilian and Kalea Barnett garnered Second Team accolades for Cumberland during last week’s league championships in Birmingham, Ala.

Ndebele wins triple jump at Middle Tennessee Invite

LEBANON, Tenn. – Bumnene Ndebele won the triple jump, Shemar Salmon placed third in the 800-meters and Kalea Barnett finished fourth in the shot put and weight throw for Cumberland track and field Saturday at the Middle Tennessee Invitational in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Shimukowa wins 800; Ndubele, Barnett place third at Emory Invite

LEBANON, Tenn. – Charles Shimukowa won the 800-meters, Bumnene Ndebele placed third in the triple jump and Kalea Barnett finished third in the shot put, leading the Cumberland track and field teams Sunday in the Emory Crossplex Invitational in Birmingham, Ala.

Shimukova, Arnold take 1-2 in 400 at ETSU

LEBANON, Tenn. – Charles Shimukova and Ishmael Arnold finished 1-2 in the 400-meters while Dylon Dishman and Josiah Scott both placed eighth in field events for Cumberland track and field Saturday at the ETSU Invitational in Johnson City, Tenn.

Shimukova wins 800, takes second in 400 in CU debut

LEBANON, Tenn. – Charles Shimukova won the 800-meters and finished second in the 400-meters in his Cumberland debut while Ishmael Arnold, Tyler Williams and Cornelius Kipschumba each recorded seventh-place finishes Friday on the first day of the ETSU Track and Field Invitational in Johnson City, Tenn.

Track trio garners MSC Player of the Week honors

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland’s Tyler Williams, Josiah Scott and Kalea Barnett were voted Mid-South Conference Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week after their performances at the Ed Temple Classic in Nashville, Tenn., as announced Monday by the league office.

Fall 2018 Dean's List includes 148 student-athletes

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University released the list for Dean’s List for the Fall 2018 semester over the Christmas break, with 148 student-athletes and athletic trainers earning a 3.50 grade-point-average or better for the semester on all classes attempted.

CU hosting 4th Annual All-Sports Camp on Sept. 9

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University and the Lebanon-Wilson County Chamber of Commerce Sports Council are teaming up for the 4th Annual All Sports Camp for Wilson County residents ages 7-14 on Sunday, September 9 from 3-5 p.m. on the CU campus. Registration starts at 2 p.m. that day.
