Cumberland Sports Hall of Fame Banquet set for Oct. 25th

LEBANON, Tenn., - Cumberland University's 30th Annual Sports Hall of Fame banquet is set for Friday, October 25 at 6 p.m. in Baird Chapel with former student-athletes Ricky Collins (basketball), Mark Purvis (baseball) and the 1982-82 Women's Basketball team will be set for induction.


Rick Bell earns Faculty Team of the Year Award

LEBANON, Tenn. -- Cumberland University Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR), Rick Bell, garnered the Mid-South Conference Faculty Team of the Year award. Cumberland President, Dr. Paul Stumb, and Director of Athletics, Ron Pavan, presented Bell with the award this morning at the faculty callback.

Mid-South Conference Announces Addition of Three Institutions

JACKSON, Tenn. - The Mid-South Conference announced the addition of Bethel University, Freed-Hardeman University, and Martin Methodist College Thursday afternoon in Jackson, Tennessee. The schools will join the MSC in the 2020-21 season as the 10th, 11th, and 12th full members of the conference.

NAIA Honors Eight Cumberland Teams for Academic Excellence

LEBANON, Tenn. – The NAIA announced that eight Cumberland athletic teams have earned NAIA Scholar Teams for the 2018-19 academic year. Teams must have a 3.00 cumulative grade-point-average or higher for all eligible varsity student-athletes during the past academic year to be eligible for the award.


Allen hired as new Cumberland SID

Cumberland University Athletic Director Ron Pavan announced the hiring of Kyle Allen as the new Sports Information Director Thursday, June 27, replacing Jo Jo Freeman after his resignation last month.
