Coy Gill begins his second year as a graduate assistant in Sports Information at Cumberland.
The Fayetteville, Tenn., native spent two years workings as a student intern in Media Relations at the University of Tennessee. He primarily focused on creating content for the athletics website and also did game recaps and some feature stories for Women’s Basketball, Softball and Baseball. Gill assisted with the operations of the 2018 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament and the 2018 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament first and second round held in Knoxville, Tenn.
During his time at Cumberland, Gill will handle the responsibilities of the day-to-day reporting on athletics teams including game notes and stories, game and season stats and postgame information. He will assist in handling all of the department's weekly and gameday social media graphics as well as managing social media accounts. Gill will also create web and advertising graphics for GoCumberlandAthletics.com as well as the football gameday program and other athletic events programs.
He earned his Bachelor's of Science- Journalism and Electronic Media degree from the University of Tennessee in May 2018 and is currently enrolled in the master's program for Sports Management at Cumberland.
