Parade set for Monday in Lebanon
LEBANON, Tenn. – The City of Lebanon will host a parade for Cumberland's national championship baseball team Monday at 1 p.m. The team will leave campus at Ernest L. Stockton Field, heading down South Tarver to Main Street, east on Main, around the square, back down Main and end at the baseball field.
The Bulldogs defeated Lee University late Thursday night, 4-3, in Lewiston, Idaho, to claim the 54th Annual Avista-NAIA World Series title, the school's second. Cumberland also won the 2004 championship and finished runner-up in 1995 and 2006.
