Seventeen Bulldogs named TranSouth Scholar-Athletes

LEBANON, Tenn. – Seventeen Cumberland baseball players were named TranSouth Scholar-Athletes this week by the conference office as the second-ranked Bulldogs head into this week’s conference tournament in Paducah, Ky. Student-athletes must carry a 3.00 cumulative grade-point-average and be a sophomore, junior or senior academically to qualify for the honor.
 
A total of 65 student-athletes from the eight TranSouth Conference schools were named to the Scholar-Athlete team. Cumberland led the way, with Bethel Univ. next with 10 and Freed-Hardeman, Lyon College and Union Univ. each with seven.
