LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland’s baseball team moved up one spot to fourth nationally in the sixth edition of the 2011 NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll released Tuesday by the national office. The Bulldogs have won 16 straight games overall and 27 of the last 28 games overall since March 22.
Cumberland received one first-place vote and collected 539 points. Embry-Riddle is ranked No. 1 for the second straight week, followed by Oklahoma City University and California Baptist.
CU is scheduled to play Bethel University in the first round of the TranSouth Championships on Wednesday at Noon. The tournament has been postponed the last two days because of rain.
