Winter, fall sports take part in community service outings

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland student-athletes with men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s golf, baseball, softball and cheer-dance were all involved in community service projects in the Lebanon area on August 28-29 as part of Leadership Day activities in the athletic department.

All Cumberland athletic teams are required to participate in community service events of their choosing throughout the year. Below is a listing of the organizations served by the teams last weekend in the Lebanon area:
M/W Tennis/W Basketball: Wilson County Community Center
M Basketball: Puckett Rucker Church
M/W Golf: Habitat for Humanity Wilson County
Baseball: Veterans Field/Mt. Juliet Christian Academy baseball field work
Softball: painting parking lots at Nokes-Lasater Field and Rudy School of Nursing
Cheer/Dance: Brooks House
