Overnight rain causes baseball schedule alteration

LEBANON, Tenn. – Heavy overnight rains soaked the outfield at Ernest L. Stockton Field-Woody Hunt Stadium, causing a second rescheduling of this weekend’s baseball series between Cumberland and Georgetown College. The Phoenix and Tigers will play a single game Saturday at 2 p.m. The series will conclude Sunday with a doubleheader at 12:30 p.m.

Rain and thunderstorms pushed through the area around 10 p.m. Friday night, dropping almost an inch of rain on the surface at Ernest L. Stockton Field-Woody Hunt Stadium. It also drizzled rain most of Friday, which caused the first rescheduling of the series earlier in the week.
