Wet conditions cancel Sunday baseball game

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland’s baseball game against Campbellsville University set for Sunday afternoon was first pushed back and then called altogether because of extremely wet field conditions, including standing water in the outfield.

Continuous rain over the last 24 hours have dumped 2-3 inches of rain on Ernest L. Stockton Field-Woody Hunt Stadium, with a light rain continuing Sunday morning. Cumberland pushed the game back to 3 p.m. early Sunday morning but after the coaches met and walked the field, the contest was canceled.
