Weather shifts baseball weekend series games

LEBANON, Tenn. – Continuing rain this week and more in the forecast has shifted Cumberland baseball’s weekend series at the University of Mobile, with the teams now playing a doubleheader Friday and a single game Saturday, weather permitting, as announced Thursday by head coach Woody Hunt.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland’s Polo Portela tossed five innings and Cumberland scored 10 runs in the fourth inning to take a 12-2 victory over Mount Mercy but the Phoenix could not sweep the twinbill giving up two runs in the sixth in a 4-3 loss to Southern Nazarene on Saturday in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Baseball radio broadcast schedule includes 42 regular season games

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland baseball will broadcast a record 42 regular season games on radio in 2019, including all home contests and all Mid-South Conference outings, as announced this week by Director of Athletics Ron Pavan.

Annual baseball dinner, auction set for Feb. 1

Fall 2018 Dean's List includes 148 student-athletes

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University released the list for Dean’s List for the Fall 2018 semester over the Christmas break, with 148 student-athletes and athletic trainers earning a 3.50 grade-point-average or better for the semester on all classes attempted.

Baseball announces 2019 schedule

Eleven Cumberland squads earn NAIA Scholar Team honors

LEBANON, Tenn. – The NAIA honored 11 Cumberland athletic squads Friday as NAIA Scholar Teams for the 2017-18 academic year. Teams must obtain a 3.00 cumulative grade-point-average or higher for all eligible varsity student-athletes during the past academic year to garner the award.
