Baseball selected fourth in Mid-South Conference Preseason Poll

LEBANON, Tenn.- Cumberland baseball was selected fourth in the Mid-South Conference Coaches Preseason Poll, released by the conference Wednesday morning.

Coach Hunt and his squad last year went 34-23 and 9-7 in the conference. They will have a bunch of new faces around the diamond this year as last year's team graduated 10 seniors that saw a lot of playing time.

Campbellsville and Cumberlands have been selected as the favorites in the conference each garnering 44 voting points and three first place votes. Campbellsville won the MSC Tournament title and the Cumberlands won the MSC regular season championship in 2019.

Georgetown is third in the poll with 40 voting points and the final two first place votes. Cumberland earned 32 points to finish fourth in the poll

Pikeville is fifth with 22 points and Lindsey Wilson is in sixth place with 20 points.

Rounding out the poll is Shawnee State in seventh place with 14 points and Thomas More is projected eighth with eight points. This is Thomas More's first season of competition in the Mid-South.

Coaches’ were not allowed to vote for their own teams.
