Bell places 16th, Midgett 27th for CU bowling

LEBANON, Tenn. – Sophomore Peyton Bell finished 16th and senior Chase Midgett placed 27th, leading the Cumberland bowlers over the weekend at the Orange and Black Classic in Dayton, Ohio.


Wezel, Bell place in Top 10 for CU bowling

LEBANON, Tenn. – Sophomore Peyton Bell placed ninth at the Louisville Collegiate Classic on Saturday and junior Kelsey Wezel finished eighth at the Thomas N. Burris Memorial Classic on Sunday, leading the Cumberland bowling teams over the weekend in Louisville, Ky.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland ‘s women were picked seventh and the men placed ninth in the Mid-South Conference Bowling Coaches’ Preseason Poll released Friday afternoon by the league office.


159 named to Spring 2017 Dean's List

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University released the Dean’s List for Spring 2017 last week with 159 student-athletes and athletic training majors recognized. The honor is reserved for undergraduate students who achieved a grade-point-average of 3.50 or above on all classes attempted during the spring semester.


125 student-athletes set for graduation Saturday

LEBANON, Tenn. – One hundred and twenty-five current and former Cumberland student-athletes, athletic trainers and athletic staff will receive their degrees this Saturday in the 175th Commencement ceremonies on the lawn of Memorial Hall. It marks the fifth straight year of more than 100 graduates for athletic department student-athletes and personnel.


LAST DAY: CU accepting nominations for 2017 Hall of Fame class

LEBANON, Tenn. – The Cumberland University Athletic Department is accepting nominations for the Class of 2017 Sports Hall of Fame until Monday, April 3. Nominations must be made in writing and include full justification for the nomination, including statistics, honors, awards and any other pertinent information about the nominee. The 2017 Hall of Fame dinner is set for Friday, October 6, at 6 p.m. in Baird Chapel.


Men win twice, women fall in two matches at MSC Championships

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland men’s bowling dropped its first match before winning twice and then losing again in the double elimination tournament while the Phoenix women lost its first two matches on Saturday in the Mid-South Conference Championships in Bowling Green, Ky.


Bell takes fourth, Turner eighth in bowling singles
