LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland Athletics will host the Third Annual Scholar-Athlete Recognition Day with a breakfast for 132 current students at Immanuel Baptist Church on Friday, April 25. Current Bulldog student-athletes must maintain a 3.25 grade-point-average with at least 30 credit hours passed before the spring semester.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University’s Danielle and DJ Chaffin and Theo Shipp were named Mid-South Conference Bowling Scholar-Athletes last week in advance of the conference championships that were just completed in Louisville, Ky.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Junior DJ Chaffin finished eighth and senior Theo Shipp placed 12th in singles and Chaffin and senior JR Clemons posted a sixth-placing showing doubles, leading the Cumberland bowling team in the Mid-South Conference Singles and Doubles Championships on Friday at Ken-Bowl Lanes in Louisville, Ky.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University announced the 2013 Fall Dean’s List, which includes 128 student-athletes and athletic training majors. The honor is reserved for students who have achieved a GPA of 3.50 or above on all classes attempted during the fall semester.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Ryan Cox bowled the second perfect game in program history and finished second overall and Theo Shipp placed sixth individually as well, leading Cumberland University to a third-place team showing over the weekend at the 8th Annual Striking Knights Classic in Louisville, Ky.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Theo Shipp placed 25th overall and Ryan Cox was 30th, helping Cumberland to a 15th-place team showing at the Brunswick Southern Collegiate Bowling Classic in Marietta, Ga., on November 2-3.
