Five bowlers named Academic All-MSC

LEBANON, Tenn. – Five Cumberland bowlers were named Academic All-Mid-South Conference on Wednesday in advance of the conference championships this weekend in Bowling Green, Ky.

Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior and maintain a 3.25 grade-point-average and above to be eligible for the award. Twenty-nine men and 40 women from 11 institutions were honored by the league.

Senior Jennifer Turner (3.33,Healthcare Administration), juniors Karlie Odum (3.85, Art & Design) and Taylor Wagner (3.62, Mathematics, Biochemistry) and sophomore Savannah Shirley (3.27, English Secondary Education) were honored for the Phoenix women while junior Chase Midgett (3.45, Art & Design) was named to the men’s team.
