Bell, Bradshaw, Charlton set for Intercollegiate Singles Championships

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland junior Peyton Bell, sophomore Jarred Bradshaw and freshman Matthew Charlton received berths into this week’s 2019 Intercollegiate Singles Championship Sectionals in Smyrna, Tenn.

The event begins at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Smyrna Bowling Center. The Intercollegiate Singles Championship Sectionals determines the Top 24 men and Top 24 women who will advance to compete for individual national titles from four different sites around the country. Smyrna is one of the four sites for the first round, with the Top 7 men and women advancing.

Bell finished second in singles and he and Bradshaw placed sixth in doubles at the Mid-South Conference Bowling Championships two weeks ago in Bowling Green, Ky.

Bradshaw finished 44th in singles with 869 pins and Charlton placed 53th with 850 pins in the conference tournament.
