REMINDER: CU accepting nominations for 2017 Hall of Fame class

LEBANON, Tenn. – The Cumberland University Athletic Department is accepting nominations for the Class of 2017 Sports Hall of Fame until Monday, April 3. Nominations must be made in writing and include full justification for the nomination, including statistics, honors, awards and any other pertinent information about the nominee. The 2017 Hall of Fame dinner is set for Friday, October 6, at 6 p.m. in Baird Chapel.


Beasley, Montgomery named First Team All-MSC

LEBANON, Tenn. –Cumberland cheerleaders Morgan Beasley and Katy Montgomery earned First Team All-Mid-South Conference honors while Sydnee Steverson and Chloe White were named Second Team All-MSC, as announced recently by the league office.

Cumberland quartet wins all-girls conference title

Nine cheer-dance team members earn Academic All-MSC honors

LEBANON, Tenn. – Nine Cumberland cheer and dance team members were recognized as Academic All-Mid-South Conference on Tuesday, as announced by the league office in advance of the MSC Cheer Championships set for Wednesday night in Frankfort, Ky.


133 named to Fall 2016 Dean's List

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University released the Dean’s List for Fall 2016 last week with 133 student-athletes and athletic training majors recognized. The honor is reserved for undergraduate students who achieved a grade-point-average of 3.50 or above on all classes attempted during the spring semester.


CU Dance Team offering clinic Nov. 5

LEBANON, Tenn. – The Cumberland dance team will hold a one-day clinic for ages 5-14 on Saturday, November 5, from 9-11 a.m. at the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center.


Fall student-athletes take part in Leadership Training, community service

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University fall athletic teams participated in Leadership Training on Wednesday that included lectures from University staff, CU Character Coach Jim Mike Ward and Tony Johnson, Vice President with Learfield Licensing, along with sessions on social media training and nutrition as well as eligibility.
