Eddie Breight begins his first year as a graduate assistant in the athletic training department at Cumberland.
The San Diego, Calif., native most recently worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer at The Physical Edge Physical Therapy in Arcadia, Calif. While there he was responsible for assisting with patients' therapeutic exercise while also providing sports medicine outreach coverage at Arcadia High School and Western Christian High School.
Breight graduated from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif., in May 2012. While at Azusa Pacific, he worked with the track and field, tennis, water polo, volleyball, men's soccer, softball, football and women's basketball teams. During each of these rotations he was responsible for assisting the teams' Certified Athletic Trainer with providing prevention, evaluation and treatment of various sports injuries. He also completed off-campus rotations with South Hills High School and Peachwood Physical Therapy.
Shortly after graduating high school and before returning to college, Breight spent four-and-a-half years working as a 911 emergency response EMT and Paramedic on an ambulance.
