Brittney Roberts joined the Cumberland Athletic Training Department in January 2014 as a graduate assistant.
The Palm Coast, Fla., native attended Florida State as an undergraduate, serving as a student athletic trainer for the Seminoles. She worked directly with the FSU Sand Volleyball team and Cheer and Dance squads during her senior year, designing a rehabilitation program and presenting weekly injury reports to coaches.
As a junior Roberts worked with the women’s tennis program at FSU in the spring, communicating with international student-athletes about their injuries and rehab, and was a student trainer at Lawton Chiles High School in Tallahassee in the fall. During her sophomore year Roberts was involved with the FSU men’s and women’s track and field as well as the men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs.
While in Tallahassee she also gained experience during the NCAA Sand Volleyball Tournament in 2013, the Florida State Relays three straight years, the FACA High School All-Star Game in 2012, the FSU Cross Country Invitational twice and the NCAA Women’s Basketball First and Second Rounds in 2010.
She was a member of the FSU Student Athletic Training Association, the FSU Aspiring Medical Professionals and the FSU Sports Medicine Interest Group. Roberts is CPR and AED certified.
She received her bachelor’s in Athletic Training from Florida State in May 2013 and is currently enrolled in the master’s program for Sport and Exercise Pedagogy at Cumberland.
