James Meadows begins his third year as an assistant athletic trainer at Cumberland University.
Meadows is responsible for overseeing the prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation of injuries for the football, men's basketball, and men's and women's golf teams.
He was born in Indianapolis, Ind., and moved to Mt. Juliet, Tenn. in 1994, graduating from Friendship Christian School in 2004.
Meadows received his bachelor’s in Athletic Training from Harding University in 2008 and earned a master’s in Education with an emphasis in Kinesiology in 2009 from Harding. During the 2008-09 academic year, he served as the athletic training graduate assistant at Harding and worked with the men's soccer team as well as the football team.
