LEBANON, Tenn. - Cumberland University's football team received a vote in the second regular season edition of the NAIA Football Top 25 Coaches' Poll (Sept. 22) as the Bulldogs prepare to face 20th-ranked University of the Cumberlands Saturday in Williamsburg, Ky.

Cumberland and head coach Dewayne Alexander are 1-2 heading into this weekend's road tilt. The Bulldogs opened the season with a 48-38 victory at Campbellsville before dropping decisions to Chattanooga and Georgetown.

Cumberland had a bye last week and will open the home slate next weekend, facing Bethel at Lindsey Donnell Stadium on Homecoming at 1:30 p.m. The Bulldogs have two other ranked foes still left on the schedule -- University of Virginia-Wise at home on October 18 and Shorter College, also at home, on November 1.
