North voted MSC Offensive Player of the Week

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland running back Kimlee North accounted for 199 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns Saturday against Lindsey Wilson, garnering his second straight Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division Offensive Player of the Week accolade, as announced Monday by the league office.

The Nashville, Tenn., native rushed a career-high 20 times for 131 yards with scoring runs of five and one yard, the last one pulling CU within 44-41 with 3:04 remaining. The sophomore added three catches for 51 yards, including a 38-yard catch-and-run down the sideline for a touchdown to get Cumberland on the board in the first quarter.

North has rushed for 331 yards on 38 carries with six touchdowns over the last three games for the Phoenix, who are off this week after nine consecutive games.
