Nine football players named NAIA Scholar-Athletes

LEBANON, Tenn. – Nine Cumberland football players received 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors on Friday, as announced by the national office before the national championship game in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Student-athletes must hold a 3.50 grade-point-average and above and be a junior or senior academically to be eligible for the award. Student-athletes must also have been enrolled at their current institution for one academic year to be eligible.

Senior Marcus Bryson; redshirt juniors Brian Billingsley and Tyler Tate; juniors Justin Brown, Kimlee North and Tad Brown; and redshirt sophomores Brenden Dickens, Ian Hafner and Jacob Stewart were all honored by the NAIA.
