National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA)
Cumberland is a member of the NAIA, a national governing body for intercollegiate athletics since 1940. The NAIA stresses dedication to academic achievement above athletic excellence. Above all, there is an expectation of ethical behavior and a commitment to scholarship, sportsmanship and leadership. Mid-South Conference
Cumberland particpates in the Mid-South Conference in both football and wrestling and was a full member of the MSC from the 1997-98 academic year until 2001-02. The Mid-South Conference offers 18 varsity sports and has claimed 13 national championships in four different sports since its inception in 1995. Please visit the conference website

USA Cycling
Cumberland offers one of only 15 varsity cycling programs in the nation, with US Cycling the governing body over the collegiate sport. USA Cycling offers national championships during the Mountain Bike and Road Racing seasons as well. To read more click
