The Hendersonville, Tenn., native was a four-year starter for the Phoenix and head coach Heather Stanfill, earning First Team All-Mid-South Conference honors as a sophomore. She batted .350 with 10 doubles, 16 home runs, 34 RBIs and 36 runs scored that season, posting a .720 slugging percentage. She was a Second Team All-District selection as a sophomore and junior and earned All-District Tournament accolades in both seasons for coach Erica Powell at Beech High School. The Buccaneers won the TSSAA AAA state championship her sophomore year with a 42-11-2 record and finished her junior campaign 50-4 overall with another trip to the state tournament.

Montgomery earned her bachelor’s in Psychology at Cumberland in May 2017 and is currently working on her master’s in Business Administration at CU.
