LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University’s Joel Barlow was voted Mid-South Conference Cross Country Runner of the Week after his performance in the BROOKS Memphis Twilight Classic over the weekend in Memphis, Tenn.

The Lebanon, Tenn., native placed 32nd among 159 runners overall and was the third highest NAIA finisher in the BROOKS Memphis Twilight Classic late Saturday night in a race that featured six NCAA Division I and six Division II institutions. In his first collegiate race he posted a 4-mile time of 21:20.55, helping Cumberland to a 13th-place showing among 18 teams.

Cumberland runs again this Saturday at the Freed Speed Open in Henderson, Tenn.
