Men's Cross Country placed 3rd in Great Lakes Invitational

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- The Phoenix men's cross-country team finish 3rd out of 20 teams at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge Invitational.

Cumberland posted 110 points as a team, with three runners placing in the top fifteen. 

Joel Barlow finished in 8th place, the best finish for the Phoenix, with a time of 27:17. Denis Kiplagat followed behind Barlow finishing 9th with a time of 27:18.

Junior Seth Vaquero came in 14th place with a time of 27:37 and freshman Kevin Griffin placed 39th with a time of 28:12.

Shemar Salmon recorded a time of 28:27 placing him at 46th, Jerry Rojas was able to place 69th with a by recording a time of 29:00.

Daniel Tarus placed 125th place with a time of 30:38, Carlos Angeles finished 145th place with a time of 31:42

The race featured 178 runners that completed the 8K. 

Cumberland's next meet is at the Mid-South Conference Championship in Bowling Green, Ky. on November 9th.
