Ten squads earn NAIA Scholar Team accolades

LEBANON, Tenn. – The NAIA honored 10 Cumberland athletic squads this week as NAIA Scholar Teams for the 2016-17 academic year. Teams must obtain a 3.00 cumulative grade-point-average or higher for all eligible varsity student-athletes during the past academic year to garner the award.

159 named to Spring 2017 Dean's List

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University released the Dean’s List for Spring 2017 last week with 159 student-athletes and athletic training majors recognized. The honor is reserved for undergraduate students who achieved a grade-point-average of 3.50 or above on all classes attempted during the spring semester.

Men's golf ends year ranked 25th nationally

LEBANON, Tenn. – After making its second appearance in the national tournament in school history, Cumberland men’s golf ended the year ranked 25th in the final NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll released this week by the national office.

125 student-athletes set for graduation Saturday

LEBANON, Tenn. – One hundred and twenty-five current and former Cumberland student-athletes, athletic trainers and athletic staff will receive their degrees this Saturday in the 175th Commencement ceremonies on the lawn of Memorial Hall. It marks the fifth straight year of more than 100 graduates for athletic department student-athletes and personnel.

Men's golf erases nine-shot deficit to win MSC Championships

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberland University erased a nine-stroke deficit during the final round of the Mid-South Conference Men’s Golf Championship to win the program’s first postseason MSC title on Wednesday afternoon at Bowling Green Country Club in Bowling Green, Ky.
