LEBANON, Tenn. – Senior Garrett Daniel shot a final-round even-par 72 while freshman Nick Henderson and sophomore Bryson Smith each carded rounds of 73 for Cumberland men’s golf Tuesday at the Reinhardt University Invitational at Callahan Golf Links in Waleska, Ga.
The Phoenix finished third as a team, 10 strokes behind host Reinhardt University and 12 in back of Truett-McConnell, which led by six shots after the first round on Monday. It marked the final fall event for Cumberland.
Daniel rebounded with his even-par round on Tuesday after posting an 81 in the first round. He moved up eight spots in the final standings to a tie for 13th.
Henderson continued his solid run of play this fall, netting his second straight one-over par 73 to place fourth individually. Smith was right behind after his round of 73, moving up three spots to a tie for fifth.
Freshman Adrian Steeger posted a second-round three-over par 75, placing 10th individually, while sophomore Reece Gaddes struggled to an 88 on Tuesday, finishing 31st.
