LEBANON, Tenn. – Mohammed Dumbuya scored twice in the first 10 minutes and then again in the second half, as Bethel University dominated play en route to a 6-0 victory over Cumberland in men’s soccer action Tuesday in McKenzie, Tenn.
Cumberland (2-4-0, 0-1-0 TranSouth) played without three starters in the match. The Bulldogs were playing their third match in five days.
Dumbaya scored twice in the 10th minute and again in the 66th minute to lead the Wildcats (3-2-1, 1-0-0). Dawyne Smith added two goals and Rafael Karaoglan recorded a pair of assists for Bethel. Armando Guell also posted a goal for BU, which led 4-0 at the half.
Cumberland returns home Sunday, October 3, to face Lyon College in a men’s and women’s doubleheader starting at Noon.
