LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland sophomore Daniel Williams earned his second Mid-South Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honor on Monday, scoring seven goals in three Phoenix victories.
The London, England, native netted a hat trick at the University of Pikeville, scoring twice in the middle of the first half, both on assists from Patrick Hay, and added another goal unassisted in the final five minutes against the Bears. He registered two goals in 55 seconds versus Life University, both on assists from Elliot Goodwin, staking Cumberland to a 2-0 advantage in the first 15 minutes.
Williams scored in the first 150 seconds against Shawnee State before collecting another goal in the 59th minute. He has 13 goals and a pair of assists in nine matches this season for the Phoenix, who head to 19th-ranked Bryan College on Tuesday to begin a three-match road swing.
