LEBANON, Tenn. – Brian McNamara, Bakary Bagayogo and Tyler Watson all scored two goals apiece and Cumberland cruised to a 7-0 victory over Oakland City University in men’s soccer action Saturday at Lindsey Donnell Stadium-Kirk Field.

The Phoenix (7-1-0) ran its win streak to four straight, outshooting the Mighty Oaks, 28-4, and dominating possession from the opening kickoff.

McNamara netted goals early in the second half and again just before intermission while Watson scored once in each half. Bagayogo collected both of his scores in less than two minutes in the second half. Patrick Crowley and Anthony Spencer added goals for CU.

Five different players handed out assists for the Phoenix in the win.

McNamara scored on an assist from Bagayogo in the 15th minute before Watson headed in a Crowley pass in the 22nd minute. McNamara added another goal on an assist from Tosin Abudiore at the 41-minute mark for a 3-0 CU lead at the break.

Watson netted his second goal in the 57th minute unassisted and Crowley’s unassisted score came in the 62nd minute. Bagayogo posted scores in the 71st and 72nd minutes, only 89 seconds apart, on assists from Kyle Schwartz and Markus Skraastad, and Spencer registered the final goal in the 88th minute unassisted.

Oakland City’s Colton Bland made six saves while CU’s Bennet Strutz tallied a pair of saves in the victory.
