LEBANON, Tenn. – Daniel Williams scored once in each half and assisted on another goal for Cumberland in a 4-0 win in men’s soccer action against Georgetown College on Thursday evening in Georgetown, Ky.
The Phoenix (4-4-2, 3-0-0 Mid-South) netted three goals in just over three minutes of action in the middle of the first half to take control of the match, with Jose Gonzalez, Williams and Bakary Bagayoko each finding the back of the net for CU.
Williams added his second goal of the night and third in the last two outings (he has five for the season now) a little over five minutes into the second half before things got chippy. Seven yellow cards were handed out in the match, six of those in the final 40 minutes of play.
