Yuly Guerrero was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. She is entering her second year of GA for the Women Tennis Team. She has a great passion for the analysis of human body movement especially in sports, Guerrero discovered this thanks to her family and her Physiotherapy studies at the National University of Colombia.
Before arriving in the United States, she has worked with many important tournaments in her country. The last one was the Grade 2 Tournament of the Tennis League of Cundinamarca.
Yuly has been working with the Women's Tennis Team at the University of Cumberland since July 2018. The team has participated in the ITA Tournament with second place for women's doubles and first place in singles. Likewise, she accompanied the team in the Nationals of the Mid-South Conference that took place in Mobile, AL.
She hopes to bring to the program important tools from the scientific point of view for the preparation of future competitions, but the most important thing is to encourage the empowerment of personal growth through field tennis in its players.
After graduating, she hopes to work in the scientific staff of large sports laboratories helping to ensure that human body movement is fully exploited through sport and have their own sports physiotherapy business.
She is currently pursuing her MBA at Cumberland.
