Marcelo, Sanna ranked in final tennis poll

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland’s Antonio Manuel Marcelo was ranked in singles and doubles and Evan Sanna was ranked in doubles in the final ITA Men’s Tennis rankings of the year announced this week by the national organization.

Men's tennis finishes season ranked 16th

Marcelo voted Second Team All-American

Players were selected by the All-America committee and the list of honorees includes 16 student-athletes on each of the First and Second teams, plus 18 Honorable Mentions.

Eight clubs earn NAIA Scholar Team award

LEBANON, Tenn. – Eight Cumberland University athletic teams posted team grade-point-averages of 3.00 or higher for the 2010-11 academic year, earning NAIA Scholar Team honors, as announced by the national office. Teams must record a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution to be eligible for the award.
