Seven tennis players named TranSouth Scholar-Athletes

LEBANON, Tenn. – Seven Cumberland tennis players were named TranSouth Conference Scholar-Athletes by the conference office this week in advance of the NAIA Qualifying Tournament that begins Friday in Norcross, Ga. Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically and maintain a 3.00 grade-point-average to be eligible.

Women’s players Tais Lacerda Bezerra and Anita Rácz and men’s players Devin Crotzer, Jeremy Fleming, Cristhian Hernandez, Pedro Rodrigues and Evan Sanna all garnered the accolade.

The Cumberland men’s and women’s teams will take part in the NAIA Qualifying Tournament starting Friday. More information on the tournament with seedings and matchups as well as All-TranSouth Conference and Scholar-Athlete information may be found at http://www.transouth.org/article/1352.php.
