Marcelo, Sanna ranked in final tennis poll

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland’s Antonio Manuel Marcelo was ranked in singles and doubles and Evan Sanna was ranked in doubles in the final ITA Men’s Tennis rankings of the year announced this week by the national organization.

Marcelo finished the year ranked 30th in the country in singles after compiling a 16-0 mark in dual matches, 18-3 overall for the academic year. The Cascais, Portugal, native played No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in each match in which he participated for the Bulldogs.

He and Sanna ranked 25th nationally in doubles after posting a 13-3 record in dual match doubles, 19-6 overall, including the ITA Southeast Regional championship and a fifth-place finish in the ITA Small College Championships.
