Phoenix men fall to No. 14 in NAIA Coaches' Poll

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland men’s tennis dropped seven spots to No. 14 in the latest NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, as announced Tuesday by the national office.

The Phoenix registered a 2-2 mark during a Spring Break trip to Macon, Ga., collecting wins over 25th-ranked Indiana Wesleyan and Loyola University but dropping decisions to No 14 University of Mobile and eighth-ranked Middle Georgia State.

Cumberand also lost to No. 13 Tennessee Wesleyan in the regular season opener.

The Phoenix have posted a pair of wins at home this week – 6-3 versus Martin Methodist and 7-2 against Indiana Tech. CU hosts Bethel University at 1 p.m. on Friday and William Woods University at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
