Cumberland University gives Relief to their Student-Athletes

LEBANON, Tenn.--On March 16, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) called to cancel all spring sports as the threat of the coronavirus spread throughout the country. Many spring athletes may have played their last collegiate game without knowing it, but the NAIA is granting relief to give athletes one more season of competition if they choose so.

Cumberland Cancels All Spring 2020 Sports

LEBANON, Tenn.--Cumberland University athletics in conjuction with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced today that it is cancelling the spring 2020 sports season, effective immediately.

MIDWAY, Ky.- The Phoenix fought down to the wire and were able to defeat the Midway University Eagles after being down two sets, 3-2.

Phoenix Defeat Saints in Conference Match, 3-1

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.- The Cumberland Phoenix were able to pull off a 3-1 victory against conference opponent, the Thomas More University Saints.

Pierce named MSC Setter of the Week

LEBANON, Tenn.- Cumberland’s Jordan Pierce earned Mid-South Conference Men’s Volleyball Setter of the Week accolades after the Phoenix won two matches, as announced Monday by the league office.
