Lester earns All-Tournament honors at Grow the Game Challenge

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University’s Christian Lester earned All-Tournament honors this past weekend in the Off the Block Grow the Game Challenge, the inaugural matches for the Phoenix as a program.

The Murfreesboro, Tenn., native registered eight kills, two digs and one block against Bluefield College, the first-ever match for the Cumberland men’s volleyball program. The freshman followed that with six kills and a pair of blocks versus Fontbonne University.

The Phoenix play this weekend in the Pirate Invitational in Parkville, Mo., taking on Morningside College and Briar Cliff University on Friday and fifth-ranked Park University and Ottawa University on Saturday.
