Hawaii native Carruthers inks with CU men's volleyball
Ewa Beach, Hawaii, native Kona Carruthers signed scholarship papers with CU men's volleyball for the 2019-20 academic year.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland men’s volleyball coach Scott Barbe announced the signing of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, native Kona Carruthers to scholarship papers this week for the 2019-20 academic year.

Carruthers earned Second Team All-League honors for coaches Justin Delizo and Nathan Ramos as a junior at Hanalani Schools in Mililani, Hawaii. He also garnered Honorable Mention All-League accolades as a junior and Second Team All-League recognition as a senior in basketball for the Royals.

He is the son of Jennifer and Davis Carruthers.
