LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland’s baseball and softball games scheduled for Tuesday have both been moved to Wednesday due to torrential downpours and impending cold temperatures over the next two days in middle Tennessee and central Kentucky.

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Cumberland softball team fell victim to the walk-off home run Thursday evening en route to a doubleheader sweep at Lindsey Wilson. The Bulldogs dropped game one, 7-3, and came up just short of a thrilling comeback in game two, an 11-10 defeat.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland senior Victoria Bennett lifted a single to left-center to knock in the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth in a 6-5 victory in game one, and the Bulldogs scored nine runs in the opening frame of game two en route to a 16-0 win over Tennessee Temple on Tuesday at the CU Softball Field.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Celebrating Senior Day, the Cumberland softball team controlled a pair of contests in nearly every facet en route to 17-1 and 8-0 victories in Mid-South Conference play over Bluefield College on Saturday at the CU Softball Field.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland pitching did not allow an earned run in 14 innings, and combined to allow just 11 hits as the Bulldogs took a pair of Mid-South Conference games, 3-0 and 7-2, versus the University of Pikeville on Friday at the CU Softball Field.

CATHARINE, Ky. – After a third straight game with just four hits—a 2-1 defeat in game one—the Cumberland bats finally appeared, as the Bulldog softball team broke out for 10 runs on 10 hits in a 10-0 six-inning defeat on the road versus St. Catharine College on Wednesday at Salt River Electric Field.

LEBANON, Tenn. – The Cumberland softball team scored just a combined four runs on eight hits in a twinbill split versus Freed-Hardeman on Tuesday at the CU Softball Field. CU won the first game 2-1 in nine innings, before falling 5-2 in the second.

LEBANON, Tenn. – The Cumberland softball team scored four runs on just a single hit in order to erase a three-run deficit in the final inning en route to a 5-4 victory in game two of a doubleheader sweep of Virginia Intermont on Sunday at the CU Softball Field.
