LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland was unable to deliver timely hits in dropping a pair of games Saturday at home, with 25th-ranked Taylor University posting a 5-1 victory and Tennessee Wesleyan claiming a 4-2 win in softball action at the CU Softball Field.

LEBANON, Tenn. – With more than two inches of fresh now on the ground (and the field) on Thursday morning, Cumberland has canceled Friday’s softball contest against Taylor University. The Bulldogs and Knights will play Saturday at the CU Softball Field.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Kristen Abell tossed a complete game and Kassydi Montgomery belted a two-run homer and drove in the winning run with a double in the eighth inning, as Cumberland split a doubleheader with Union University on a cold and wet Wednesday at the CU Softball Field.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University announced the 2014 Fall Dean’s List this past week, which includes 130 student-athletes, athletic department personnel and athletic training majors. The honor is reserved for students who have achieved a grade-point-average of 3.50 or above on all classes attempted during the fall semester.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University will host the College Coaches Skills Camp on Sunday, November 16, on the CU campus, a one-day event for high school softball players that will feature college coaches from Alabama, Belmont, Tennessee Tech and Bellarmine University among others.
