LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University softball coach Heather Stanfill announced the signing of Nipomo, Calif., native Gianna Abatti to scholarship papers this week for the 2015-16 academic year.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Ten Cumberland University squads received the NAIA Scholar-Team Award recognition this week, as announced by the national office. Teams must maintain a minimum 3.0 grade-point-average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution to be eligible for the award, with all eligible varsity student-athletes factored into the team GPA.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University announced the 2015 Spring Dean’s List recently, which includes 100 student-athletes, athletic department personnel and athletic training majors. The honor is reserved for students who achieved a grade-point-average of 3.50 or above on all classes attempted during the spring semester.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Senior Sydney Broderick was named a 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, as announced by the national office on Wednesday. Student-athletes must be a junior or senior with a 3.50 grade-point-average to be eligible for the award.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Kassydi Montgomery and Tessa Tomaselli were voted First Team All-Mid-South Conference and Vienna Benavides earned Second Team honors, as announced by the league office during a banquet at the Corvette Museum here Wednesday night in advance of the conference tournament.
