LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University announced the 2014 Fall Dean’s List this past week, which includes 130 student-athletes, athletic department personnel and athletic training majors. The honor is reserved for students who have achieved a grade-point-average of 3.50 or above on all classes attempted during the fall semester.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University Director of Athletics Ron Pavan announced the hiring of Kathy Palk Slaughter as head coach effective immediately. The Sparta, Tenn., native is a former Bulldog player and assistant coach and a highly successful high school coach in the middle Tennessee area.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University’s Karli Collins and Jenna Pavan were named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes over the weekend, as announced by the national office. Student-athletes must be a junior or senior academically and maintain a 3.50 grade-point-average or above to be eligible for the award.

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Rylee Butler finished with seven kills and Michelle Evans added four, but Cumberland could not overcome 14 kills from Yennifer Ramirez and 12 by Nadelina Nesheva, as ninth-ranked Lindsey Wilson swept the Bulldogs in the quarterfinals of the Mid-South Conference Volleyball Championships here Friday at the Powell Athletic Center.
