LEBANON, Tenn. – The Cumberland University volleyball team split their two games in the opening day of the Lindsey Wilson Volleyball Classic on Friday afternoon, falling to Dalton State 3-1 in the first game of the day, then conquering the Grenadiers of Indiana University-Southeast 3-1 in the nightcap. Maci Lerno racked up 27 kills in the doubleheader to go along with serving up five aces.

LEBANON, Tenn. – On a night filled with emotion, the Cumberland volleyball team brought head coach Kathy Slaughter the perfect beginning to her collegiate coaching career with the Bulldogs pulling out a 3-2 victory over Bethel here Wednesday night at the Dallas Floyd Recreation center.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University and the Lebanon-Wilson County Chamber of Commerce Sports Council are teaming up for an All Sports Camp for Wilson County residents ages 7-12 on Sunday, September 13 from 3-5 p.m. on the CU campus. Registration starts at 2 p.m. that day.

LEBANON, Tenn. – All six Cumberland fall sports teams that reported to campus this week took part in community service activities around town on Thursday, including a Red Cross blood drive, helping at the Wilson County Community Center, Next Step Resource Center and Habitat for Humanity, and a trip to Cedarcroft Home.

LEBANON, Tenn. – The Cumberland University volleyball team was picked seventh in the Mid-South Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll the league announced this morning.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Ten Cumberland University squads received the NAIA Scholar-Team Award recognition this week, as announced by the national office. Teams must maintain a minimum 3.0 grade-point-average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution to be eligible for the award, with all eligible varsity student-athletes factored into the team GPA.
