Phoenix sign Michigan native Carey
Bloomfield Township, Mich., native Nikki Carey inked scholarship papers with CU volleyball for the 2018-19 academic year.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland volleyball coach Kathy Slaughter announced the signing of Bloomfield Township, Mich., native Nikki Carey to scholarship papers this week for the 2018-19 academic year, the seventh Phoenix signee for next season.

Carey is a three-year letterwinner for coaches Heather and Jason Gambone at Ernest Seaholm High School. She is the daughter of Arthur and Kimberly Carey.

Carey joins Amber Ehrhart (Mt. Juliet, Tenn.), Raegan Moeller (Ankeny, Iowa), Shea Moore (Bowling Green, Ky.), Luciana Arena (Washington Township, Mich.), Cheyenne Corey (Springboro, Ohio) and Holland Mooney (Franklin, Tenn.) in this year’s signing class.
