Nalovic, Wickham, Serna garner All-Mid-South accolades

LEBANON, Tenn. – Junior Masa Nalovic was voted First Team All-Mid-South Conference and juniors Mikayla Wickham and Lyssette Serna earned Second Team All-MSC honors, as announced by the league office Wednesday night in Bowling Green, Ky.

The Mid-South Conference Championships begin Thursday at Bowling Green High School, with the Phoenix taking on the University of the Cumberlands at 2:30 p.m. CT.

Nalovic ranks sixth in the Mid-South Conference with 319 kills, 2.90 per set, while ranking 16th in blocks with 59. The Belgrade, Serbia, native has posted 16 matches with double-digit kills, including 19 at the University of Pikeville and 17 versus Georgetown College and the University of the Cumberlands.

Serna ranks second on the club and 17th in the league in kills with 2.48, 2.14 per set, while recording 300 digs, 2.59 per set, also second on the Phoenix. The San Diego, Calif., native has recorded 10 outings with double-figure kills and 13 matches with double-digit digs, including three double-doubles. She posted 12 kills and 11 digs at the Cumberlands and tallied 13 kills versus Shawnee State while adding 23 digs at Campbellsville University.

Wickham has registered 225 kills this season, 1.96 per set, while collecting 45 total blocks. The Olivet, Mich., native has netted six matches with double-figure kills and 12 total outings with eight or more kills. She recorded 13 kills at Life University and 12 against the Cumberlands.
