White signs with Phoenix women's volleyball
Suwanee, Ga., native Lael White inked scholarship papers with CU women's volleyball for the 2019-20 academic year.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland women’s volleyball coach Kathy Slaughter announced the signing of Suwanee, Ga., native Lael White to scholarship papers this week for the 2019-20 academic year.

White is a three-year letterwinner for coach Missey Hall at Lambert High School, ranking third in assists in Region 5-7A as a junior and earning Honorable Mention All-County honors last season. She ranked second in the county in assists this past year.

The Longhorns won a region championship in 2017-18 and reached the Final Four in the state tournament in 2016-17. She is the daughter of David ad Kelly White. Her father played four years in the Major Leagues for the Chicago White Sox.
