Jim Griffin begins his sixth season as the assistant golf coach at Cumberland University.
Griffin previously served as the assistant golf coach at Greenbrier High School, where his team tallied a 34-4 overall mark, winning three district championships and two regional titles. His team made two state championship appearances and one golfer qualified for the state championship tournament as an individual.
The 2009 men’s team qualified for the NAIA National Championships, finishing 16th, after winning the TranSouth Conference Championship.
Griffin currently serves as the Director of Golf at Ridgetop Golf Academy, which has aided numerous junior golfers. The academy has produced one state junior amateur champion, nine TSSAA state championship competitors and 10 collegiate players.
